A little bit about us...

We’re two best friends with a shared love of floristry and anything to do with flowers, with a combined experience of over 20 years in the industry. From individual stems to full blown artistry, from intimate affairs to large scale weddings, events & workshops where we can share our knowledge and teach others how to pursue their shared interest.

We love what we do and love sharing the experience with others, creating something memorable and special along the way.

Lucie– I’ve always loved flowers, ever since I was a little girl, I used to walk around my Nana’s garden and pick little bunches of flowers for my Mum. This is where everything began for me and after 17 years in the industry I’m still as fascinated as I was then. Working in various local flower shops I feel my style has evolved, and meeting Zoe definitely gave me the confidence in my floristry skills to truly express myself with flowers. I still can’t believe just how lucky I am that we have our own little shop and I get to hang out with my best mate every day!

Zoe– I’ve always had a creative background in the arts, from dance to fashion & design – floral illustration to be specific – & this is where my love affair with flowers began. I’ve always been fascinated with the soft textures of flowers and the shapes, colours and scent that they bring. I’ve always had an urge of wanting to do something more with flowers and this led to me pursuing my dream as a florist. Training with acclaimed florists in Covent Garden, London & Bath, Somerset I found my love of floristry as a new way to be both creative and yet hands on at the same time, a way of truly expressing my creativity through flowers. And being able to experience this journey with my best friend is the best part of it all!

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

We both met working at a local florist and from day one there was something special there. Working together closely it was clear to see we had shared a style & aesthetic vision, and we complemented each other perfectly. We soon realised we both had bigger ambitions and wanted more, which led us to taking a leap of faith and opening our own florist studio in Marlow & we haven’t looked back since.

We made the decision to start working together in 2017, and began our own business based purely on our friendship & our shared love of flowers – and hence Foxglove Studio was born. We started out working in a studio in the garden, designing and creating for weddings & events.

In 2018 we spotted the perfect, quirky little space in our hometown of Marlow, & we decided to take the slightly terrifying, but exciting step of opening our own small flower shop, which provided us the perfect location to take the next step in our business.

We select beautiful booms, plants, dried flowers, vintage vases, handmade candles and everything in-between, working with other independent suppliers to stock our little shop, offering both local and national delivery.

The idea behind the shop was to provide fresh, seasonal and naturally styled blooms wrapped and presented in an eco-conscious way.

Our Green Ethos

We hate plastic! Cellophane, shiny oversized bows and excessive packaging. Pretty much anything that can’t be recycled or even better put in the compost. Luckily for us this goes hand in hand with our very natural style. With this in mind we have focused on the shop producing as little waste as possible.. We believe it’s our responsibility as a small business to minimise our impact on the environment.

We are committed to thinking of the environmental impact we have as a small business; from composting our green waste to finding as many ways to reduce the distance our flowers have travelled to us. Whilst we don’t claim to be 100% there (yet) we are trying our best to think consciously about each decision we make as a team. Our packaging is either fully Recyclable, Compostable or reusable.
